“I believe that the more a piece is worn the more
beautiful it is because it becomes part of the person’s essence.”
Pamela Froman grew up in Manhattan surrounded by art and
culture. Her mother was an artist
and Pamela studied and received her degree from the Fashion Institute of
Technology in New York City. She
then moved to Paris where she began designing for the some of the top
European jewelers. She found this
an exciting and valuable experience, but felt the need to develop her own point
of view and jewelry collection.
Pamela launched her own line in 2006 at the Jewelers’ Circular Keystone
(JCK) Show where she was presented with the Rising Star award. She has since won numerous awards
including the prestigious Town & Country
Couture Design Award for Best of Gold and
was identified as one of the 10 Best New Jewelry Designers by InDesign Magazine in 2008.
Pamela Froman’s jewelry is hand
forged 18k gold and platinum. She
is drawn towards sculptural form and prefers textured surfaces, thus most of
her pieces have a hand-hammered finish she calls “Crushed”. This distinct textured look is
simultaneously contemporary and timeless.
In addition her jewelry consists of a juicy array of hand picked natural
stones such as turquoise, moonstone, lapis and carnelian. Her jewelry has been featured in many
fashion magazines and worn on many celebrities. Pamela’s studio is located in Los Angeles, California.
