ila&i is a brother and sister design duo.   The two come from a family of jewelers with roots tracing back to India.  Ila has always gravitated towards design and style.  Before launching her own line she spent 8 years in the diamond jewelry business working with her parents.  Vikas (the “i” in ila&i) studied engineering at MIT, but soon moved on to more artistic ventures. ila&i’s studio is located in Houston, Texas. 

The pair’s work is an elegant line of lockets, earrings and rings.  The collection has a simplicity and ease of everyday wear yet also an edge of sophistication.  All of ila&i’s pieces are fabricated from recycled and reclaimed metals.  This means that no new mines are dug to create the work.  In addition, all diamonds are handpicked from the cutting factories, ensuring that the stones' origins are conflict free.
