"It is my hope to create jewelry with clean lines and simple elegance, while maintaining evidence of the human hand."
Ananda Khalsa has experimented with a variety of art forms throughout her life. In 2002, she took a metalsmithing class in Colorado and found her creative niche in jewelry making. In 2004, the artist started her own business, Ananda Khalsa Jewelry. Ananda has discovered a harmonious way to combine painting and jewelry making together, and creates an innovative line that is adored by many people. The artist works out of her studio in Florence, Massachusetts.
Ananda's jewelry contains original paintings on paper and unique gemstones set in silver or gold bezels. The artist draws her inspiration from Asian cultures. Her illustrations include traditional motifs such as cranes, dragonflies, koi fish, and cherry blossoms. Each image appears as though it was taken from a book and tells a beautiful story. Her subjects are also chosen for their cultural meaning. For example, the dragonfly symbolizes joyfulness, the crane signifies romance, and the koi fish represents strength. Ananda's work is available as earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets. Many of her pieces are also accented with colored gemstones such as chalcedony, aquamarine, and tanzanite. Because Ananda's paintings are original works of art, each piece is truly one of a kind.
The DMG is proud to showcase Ananda's new gold bridal collection, featuring diamonds and gemstones. Click here to see a sampling of her bridal creations.
